Methane observation using laser absorption spectroscopy in India

Methane is one of the important greenhouse gas emitted from wetlands, rice fields, breeding animals, and industrial processes. Recently, satellite measurements suggested that a large amount of methane has been emitted from India, especially during summertime.  However, observational studies of methane in India are still limited.  We are trying to conduct in-situ continuous measurements of methane at a paddy field in north-India, using laser absorption spectroscopy.
